In the past electronics has been rather difficult for me to understand so I have purposely chosen to look at circuits as my subject for my ED501 digital learning project as it is an area i want to become more comfortable with.
As a stating point i have begun looking through my GSCE Electronics guide to start getting familiar with symbols which was really helpful, components and their functions. i have also started tackling OHMN's law and Resistance in a circuit, especially as I am working with 2 mathematicians I want to be up to scratch. I am hoping they can help me get my head around some of the calculations as I have gotten up to a certain point and cant seem to progress alone.
I revisited the PCB board I was working on last week and was able to identify some of the components on my own and work out the values of my resistors, which reassured me i was coming along with my knowledge however Im still finding the mathematical aspects of electronics rather difficult, but putting that down to lack of practice, i am finding a lot of the terms confusing and are not explained in the revision guide so will be doing so further reading on-line. I can also add some more terms to my PCB glossary.
